Old Georgians HC are delighted to announce the signing of Nick Page ahead of the 2020/21 season. Nick joins us from Harvestehuder HC who compete in the German Bundesliga. He has also played for Real Club Jolaseta in the Spanish Premier league.
Before getting a taste of European hockey, Nick spent four successful years at Loughborough Students HC, initially winning the North Conference and gaining promotion to the Premier League at playoffs in 2015. During his spell at Loughborough, the team also won the BUCS cup twice. Nick ended his time at the club captaining the side in his final year, as well as graduating with a degree in Sports Science with Management.
At junior international level Nick has played in every age group. He swiftly transitioned into the Men’s Great Britain Elite Development squad and was selected to represent both England and GB at a number of tournaments, including the European Championships in 2017, and twice travelled to Malaysia for the Sultan of Johor Cup where GB went into the final unbeaten and narrowly lost to Australia to take Silver.
A keen hockey player since the age of 7, Nick played the majority of his junior hockey at Southgate HC. He is often regarded as a skillful and creative player and earnt his national league debut in 2012 scoring the winning goal in his first appearance for the club. That year Southgate went on to win the East Conference and gained promotion to the Premier league.
