Phillip Fletcher

We are sorry to announce the death of Phillip Fletcher who was Bursar at the school and a keen supporter of the club assisting in getting both the club house and the astros funded.

The funeral is on this Friday (18th December) at 2.30pm in the Chapel at St George’s College.

The timings are as follows:
2.00 Reception of Coffin

2.30 Requiem Mass (please arrange to be in chapel by 2.20pm)

The Requiem Mass will be followed by a Cremation at Woking.

Everyone is invited to the Requiem Mass, but the Cremation is for family only.

To say goodbye to Phillip as he leaves the College, bursarial staff are invited to line the roadway as his hearse passes by.

There is a special request – Men, please wear colourful socks, colourful shirts and ties are also welcome. The family do not want sombre black.
No flowers please, details of donations will follow.

End of Season Dinner

Because we want as many of you as possible to come to our End of Season Celebration we have decided to change to a date which appears to suit more of you.

We will now be holding a Champagne Party in the Clubhouse

On Saturday 25^th April

And the good news is that in this difficult financial year the cost will be only

£25

to include a Champagne Reception and Supper
And drinks at Clubhouse rather than Hotel prices!

A mini tour to support the Mens 1s

The men's 1's have a very important fixture coming up on Sunday 22nd February when they play their return match against Exeter away (in Exteter!) . This will be a crucial match in their bid for promotion to the premiership and they need all the support they can get. Exeter brought huge support to Weybridge (including their coach Dick Von R) when they played us in October so it would be good to show them that we are a force not to be beaten!

How would you like to join us in a trip to Exeter on Saturday 21st staying over to watch the match on Sunday (and no doubt enjoying a good night out on Saturday evening)??

I am investigating hotel (Jonny tells me he has a good deal for the team) and coach travel possibilities. All will depend on numbers, so I would appreciate your intentions a.s.a.p. !

OG’s Christmas Party 2008!!!

That time of year is upon us again for festive celebrations! This is a great night to meet new club members and kick off the Christmas season. Also not to forget the return of the champagne bar…!

Venue: OG’s Clubhouse

Champagne Reception: 7.30

Carriages: 1am

Dress code: Ladies party dresses. Gentlemen no jeans or trainers (shirts please)

Subs and match fees reminder

Annual subs are now due, please ensure you have paid by the 31st October or you will not be able to play. It's £150, or £75 for students, the unemployed or those on income support.

Also, please remember to pay your match fees to your captain after every game, as it makes their life easier and stops you from getting a large bill at the end of the season.

Club Update - Chairman's Report at AGM
